Total assets of the Merck Group as of June 30, 2011, amounted to € 21,890 million, which was 2.2% less than the amount of € 22,388 million recorded on December 31, 2010.
The equity ratio rose to 47.3% as of June 30, 2011 from 46.3% at the beginning of 2011. Net financial debt as of June 30, 2011, declined by € 700 million to € 3,784 million from € 4,484 million at the end of 2010.
