Carbon Disclosure Project |
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization that works on behalf of investors to motivate companies to transparently report their greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption. In the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index, which assesses the extent and transparency of a company's reporting, Merck scored 80 out of 100 possible points. In the Carbon Disclosure Performance Index, which rates a company's performance in reducing emissions, Merck received a B rating on a scale of A to E, thus clearly placing it among the top-ranking companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. |

Since 2008, Merck shares have been included in the FTSE4Good Index, the leading international sustainability index that annually evaluates companies’ ecological and ethical conduct. |
