Owing to business performance in the first quarter of 2014, Merck confirms its forecast for the full year 2014 despite anticipated negative foreign exchange effects. The latter will stem mainly from the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen, yet also from the Brazilian real, the Argentinean peso and additional currencies.
